Nasri surgery rocks Arsenal.

Samir Nasri has undergone surgery on a knee injury picked up at Anfield and will be out for a month. The Frenchman has been our best player in pre-season and will be a big loss to a team still waiting on Cesc Fabregas' return to full fitness.

Our captain may well feature against Blackpool but Wenger will be hoping that he can continue to give him as much rest as possible. Laurent Koscielny's red card at Liverpool will also keep him out so the manager will be hoping that either Alexandre Song or Johan Djourou are fit enough to deputise. Koscielny's suspension has already highlighted our ludicrous lack of central defenders.

The tangerines will arrive at the Grove in high spirits on Saturday following their demolition of Wigan on the opening day. Blackpool have a great attitude and will take advantage of any relaxed teams that they come up against this season. Wenger will ensure we are not one of those, particularly after Hull embarrassed us in similar circumstances a couple of years ago.

As long as each player is fully concentrated we should have too much for Blackpool and you never know, we may even have a new goalkeeper by Saturday.

Possible line-up:

Almunia

Sagna Song Vermaelen Clichy

              Diaby

        Wilshere Rosicky

Walcott     Chamakh   Arshavin
