i can't be bothered to do the ratings. I was at this game and I think I'll not attend any next season unless we get rid of RH. We all know the central defence is pretty rubbish, but that's no excuse a) for putting Stevens in over anybody else who's fit, b) not improving any single CD in 3+ years in charge, c) never having a consistent, or sometimes even sane, tactical approach, d) picking the starting IX from a hat.
And it's not as if there's much of an argument against getting rid of him. The old question of "who would we get" is pretty irrelevant. If we stick with this bloke, consider this....Our form over the last third of the season would project to the lowest but one premiership points total over a season. 5 points in 13 games is less than 15 over a season.

The owners, management, players and especially Ralph deserve utter contempt for their consistent delivery of poor quality in every area all season. Special contempt goes to Ralph for being clueless and using guesswork to pick teams and subs and being a total massive failure.

Almost everything was as shite as it could be today!
Some appalling officiating that lead to their opener, as well as Romeu getting booked for him blowing the whistle when they had the chance to kick it out (just thank f*ck he gave that pen or we might as well just left).
Some appalling playing, as what the heck was Lyanco doing for the fist goal? As he’s had a decent first half but it all went down after that, and we were rubbish up front creating basically nothing! As it was just the same very few players that actually performed and did ok today, whilst the rest were utter dogsh*t.
Tactically we were iffy in the first half but did bugger all in the second half, with all the players giving up after the 3rd. As our starting 11 was as good as it basically could be (other than maybe A Armstrong for Adams) but we just didn’t create anything and only scored because of a penalty. So I’m no longer wanting Ralph in or out as I couldn’t care less who’s in charge next season.
And I thought that we’re called Southampton FC? Not Portsmouth, Liverpool, Everton or Man U? As if my hunch is right then why are we singing soo consistently about some other team when our team needs a backing!? As people in the past have complained about many just singing about the skates non stop, with us beating them like 4 years ago, yet today just summed it up! As we should be singing about Southampton to back our team up when we need it when we’re 3-1 down (which is what got Everton out of relegation as that’s the reason why they won those last home games, as their fanss sung about their club and backed their team up so that they got the motivation they needed to win). And singing about Rooney just to try and get under his skin even though he’s no where near us, as it did bugger all, as maybe back at the dell when you were within a few metres it worked, but when your miles away it makes bugger all difference, whilst singing about our club (which we should be singing out of pride to support our players) can actually motivate players.

But look unless we get like 5 more PL quality players then we are going down next season as our squad is not good enough

The icing on the cake of a truly awful end of season run in for Saints. After a fairly solid first half, we contrive to give up a farcical goal and then never looked likely to get back in it. We do not have any cutting edge or difference makers in the team. We concede first and we usually lose. Big changes needed ahead of next season - but who knows what will happen in the end. Bah!

We are a mid table club who have ended up mid table. Given our poor run of results since February 15th isn’t too bad in the end. You only have to look at Everton’s season after the money they spend to see that this is a tough league. Once again today we didn’t have a threat up front and crumbled at the back after gifting the first goal. It is crucial that the club get the recruitment right this summer and we really must get rid of the deadwood. We have had some decent performances and results this season so we know we can do it, but we really need better players in order to find some consistency.

Now now. 10 years in the PL is exceptional (Ralph's words). Staying up is an achievement (Ralph's words)

My words...

Ralph is a PATHETIC excuse for a manager and the so called fans who claim to support him are just as, if not more pathetic than him.

Something is wrong with a side that 2 seasons in a row goes on a fantastic run and then subsequently the performances drop off a cliff.

Need to ask some hard questions over the summer break if we are to make further progress.

Daft mistake for the first goal, a sh1thouse second goal and then 2 drops in concentration. Barely any decent chances. Adam A looked better but still seems to be overawed by the PL. Does a good move and then fluffs the follow up.

Think it was probably good bye to a few old hands/bit part players today. Change needs to happen. I suspect that most of the first team replacements will be players already in the squad.

Just hoping for a few additions.

Hey ho stayed up ....just.

Battled well in the first half but we're abject in the second. Few chances all game and defensively awful.
Fans were magnificent and derived more.

Same old Saints.
Cannot defend, cannot create & cannot score (other than a dubious penalty).
What is Ralph thinking bringing Stephen's back into the side, 3 weeks ago he was where he should be which is nowhere to be seen.
Stephen's has never been good enough for Premier Lge & never will be. He's lazy, he lacks concentration & his pedestrian style of play rubs off on others.
Ralph continuses to play players out of position then wonders where it went wrong
, playing Salisu at Left wing back is crazy, KWP should have moved over to the left & Valery come in & played on the right, that's his natural position.
We've all known for a long time that Ralph's a lovely fella, but a Premier Lge manager he's not, he typifies the clubs lack of ambition.
A word on JWP, we all know what he's good at but let's have a look at what he's not so good at, he's not a natural vocal leader, he's far to negative in his play, his first thought is sideways & backwards, he's not prepared to run with the ball & he is just not creative enough.(compare him to James Maddison, chalk & cheese come to mind).
That's enough about the team, Saints have been blessed with fantastic support whichever lge they've been in, but why Oh why do they insist on singing "we hate Pompey" when we're not playing them, it seems that the fans lose interest in the match in front of them & resort to singing about our near neighbours.
But I understand its difficult to sing " when the Saints go marching in" when we are being stuffed 4-1.
Let's try to look forward to next season, I for one am not convinced it will be any better unless RH & most of his deadwood are
replaced.
