Derby Hope For Third Time Lucky
Derby County have made a third attempt to prise Kenwynne Jones from St Mary's
Derby County have not given up after two attempts to sign Kenwynne Jones and have come back with a third offer.
Of course Saints fans would like to see jones stay, but they have to ask themselves would it be better to accept what is quite frankly an exceptional offer of £5 million plus, for a player who in truth you wouldnt expect to fetch much more than a quarter of that.
So from that point of view and with Saints already having Rasiak and Saganowski I wouldnt be too surprised if Jones was soon a Derby player.
If that turns out to be the case then Saints supporters shouldnt be too upset, if even half of that is used in the transfer market you have to say that it might just sign the couple of quality players we need to turn us from promotion hopefuls into promotion certainties.
