Report By Hayley Joslyn

First of all talking about the officials performances, may look like sour grapes but beleive me, they were the difference between a draw and a defeat. Absolutely shocking! Team lined up as followed: Freestone O'leary, Rees, Tate, Fieldwick Maylett, Martinez, Britton, Robinson Trundle, Connor

The game started off at a slow pace and Rovers had slightly the upper hand, both teams tried to play football at first, then Trundle played a good ball through to Connor, who dribbled passed the defence to find himself clear on goal then slotted it in the net to send the 842 swans fans into raptures! Sadly, this didn't last long as we begun to play sloppy passes and give away possession far to easily. Robinson kept the ball for too long which lead to it being taken off him by a Rovers played who then hit it low under Freestone to make it 1-1. There wasn't many chances in the game for either side but Rovers had the slightly better first half. Second half began just like the first half ended, with Rovers shading the possession, this didn't help as the officials gave decisions Rovers way, when clearly they should have been ours! A bad decision by the linesman and ref lead to their winner- Maylett raced up the touchline and got fouled, but mysteriously they gave a throw in too Rovers who then went onto Score through Agogo. Agogo then crashed a screamer against the post. Thats all i can say about the game itself as it was a really boring one BUT i feel a draw was the fair result as neither team deserved to win. It was nice too see Jackett talking to the players at every oppurtunity and was clearly motivated all the time in the dugout. Player ratings: Freestone 7- Didn't have much to do apart from pick the ball out of the net twice and make a smart save from a freekick. O'leary 5- Sorry but he has to go in the Summer. Terrible performance. Rees 7- A typical centre half, clearing the ball into touch at every opportunity instead of messing about with it, solid in the air and a threat in the opposing teams penalty area. Tate 5 - Gone downhill since Flynn has left, too sloppy with his passes and poor in the air. Fieldwick 6- Ok performance, but if Howard had played like he did today, he would still get slated. Maylett 7- Give his all, actually run at defenders but his crossing let him down once again. Was unlucky on a few decisions. Martinez 6- Same as previous games really, played some neat balls out wide but nothing special. Britton 7-Run his heart out, caused heir defence all sorts of problems, but he needs to learn to shoot more often! Robinson 5.5 - Poor game from Robbo today, too sloppy in giving possesion away. But one thing you can say is that he give 110% once again. Rest of the players, take note! Connor 7- Took his goal well and won several headers. His pace caused the rovers defence small problems. Trundle 5- Played one good ball through to Connor apart from that he was anonymous! A poor game between two poor teams, which i thought a draw was a fair result but was spoilt by Rovers play acting and the poor officials
