Andy started his career at Barnsley, making almost 200 league appearances. Andy scored 35 times while with the Yorkshire club.
He then moved west and into Wigan's rise up the Football League, spending six seasons at the Latics. Andy was far more productive here, scoring a goal every three games, including 34 goals in two seasons. Since then he has moved to Sheffield United and Oldham, and while he has clocked up over 530 appearances, he shows no sign of slowing down.
Last season Andy was in the first team more often than not partnering Luke Beckett. They formed a good partnership in which Andy contributed nine goals.
