Date Confirmed For Ipswich Cup Tie
The club official site has confirmed the date and time for the visit of Ipswich in the FA Cup, unless of course its changed for TV coverage, so its not quite confirmed.
Saints will be meeting Ipswich Town on Sunday 4th January at 3pm unless the tie is selected for TV coverage then the day and time could change completely.
So its not quite confirmed, but provisionally pencilled in.
As announced on this site earlier in the week, with Saints playing Arsenal on Thursday 1st January, this game along with many others was never going to be played on the Saturday only two days after a full New Years Day programme, so Sunday was always going to be the date TV coverage aside.
Hopefully Saints will agree a cheap ticket price for this game, it is important not only to get a big crowd, but to give youngsters a chance to see Saints in action and breed a new generation of supporters.
