Alty 1 Macclesfield Town 2

And so the fantastic pre season continued at Moss Lane last night.  It wasn't the best of games on the pitch but it was another win and another two goals from the front pairing.

Lets get the pre season stats out of the way first:

Played 7

Won 6

Goals scored 22

Tyrone Barnett is looking a quality signing and it was him that put Macc ahead in the first half.  Matty Hamshaw put the ball through, Barnett showed some neat control before hitting his shot into the bottom corner past the diving Stuart Coburn.

It was 2-0 midway through the second half and it was Emile Sinclair that got his 7th goal of pre season.  The striker found himself one on one with Coburn and the striker feinted past him and stroked the ball home to the delight of the 150 or so Macc fans.

The home side pulled one back in the 80th minute when Nathan Fairhurst slotted past trialist Cudworth in the Macc net.

It was another good workout for the lads as the season opener with Stevenage draws ever closer.

Attendance 538
