Woody Snubbed My MTFC?

Ex Silkmen midfield general Martin McDonald has spoken how he bumped into the legend that is Steve Wood the other evening at Curzon Ashton and told him how the club hadn't responded to a ticket request.

Allegedly Woody had asked the club for a couple of tickets so he could take his boy to the ground where he used to tirelessly sweat blood for the Silkmen.

The club never responded so Steve Wood has never returned to the Moss Rose as a spectator.  I wonder if this is one of the reason's why he declined an invite to the All Stars game and also the legends night at the McIlroy Suite a few years ago.

We have to point out here that we don't know when he has contacted the club for tickets.  What we do know now is how good the club is being run at the moment and I am under no doubt this problem would not occur if he asked for tickets today.

Let hope the club do the right thing and make him a guest of honour at one of the future games.  Maybe Stockport County at the beginning of September.

Woody = Macc Legend.
