Rooney's View On USA Trial

Wayne Rooney's younger brother John is currently on trial at the Seattle Sounders in the United States of America.  He made his first interview a couple of hours ago about his move over the atlantic.

"The stadium’s fantastic." John told the press during training.  "The fans are unbelievable.   They’re just as good as the Premiership standards.  They’re fantastic. I really enjoyed them."

Speaking about the MLS he said "I think the league’s an exciting league so I wanted to come over and progress my career over here."

As for the long shadow cast by his older brother, Rooney keeps a level head, hoping to make his own name known. "It’s good.  He’s one of the world’s best players so it’s good to have that as your brother.  But I’m out here to build on my own career and hopefully I do well myself."
