Offal Bad Luck For Butcher
Richard Butcher will be out of action for a month after picking up an injury during last weekend's 1-0 defeat at home to Shrewsbury Town. The midfielder had a scan yesterday and it showed medial ligament damage.
Bad news then for Butch but good news for one of three players. Sam Wedgbury, Colin Daniel and Lewis Chalmers will all be fighting for a place in the starting XI at Accrington on Saturday.
Gary Simpson spoke to the MOS about the injury. He said "Its disappointing news as Butch is a key player for us but we've got several options in the middle of the park and depending on what formation we decide to go with for the Accrington game its an opportunity for someone to come in and stake their claim."
