Alfie part 762
Alfie part 762

It would appear that Adam Le Fondre's move to Rotherham has been completed, as he has reportedly signed a three year contract with the Millers ending a weekend of rumours and counter rumours.

The fee will go down officially as "undisclosed", but after a £100,000 bid was turned down last week by Dale, it is not difficult to assume that the fee will be in excess of that.

The news came about on Sheffield radio where Millers boss Mark Robins confirmed that the transfer, telling listeners "We were a little bit apart, we went our seperate ways for a while and I spoke to Adam later on and he'd had a rethink and told me he really wanted to come and play for us, which is what I exactly wanted to hear.

"He's moving away from Rochdale and he's been there a couple of years and he's been the top scorer for the last couple of years, he got 20 goals last season so the goals we've lost from Rueben hopefully we've replaced in Tom Pope and now we've increased that with the aquisition of Adam"

As a further sidenote to this transfer, Alfie will be in line to make his home debut for Rotherham against Dale a week on Sunday.
