"The Wigan game can't come quick enough," declared Curtis. "Everyone is looking forward to it. "The spirit in the camp is unbelievable and I've got no doubt in my own mind that we can surprise a few people this season. "True, the step up a division means we'll find the going a lot harder than last season, but I know we'll cope with it. "There is definitely a gap between the Second and Third Divisions, as last season's promoted clubs - Cardiff, Scunthorpe and Cambridge - found last year. But I don't believe there is a massive difference. "I certainly feel it's a step we can cope with because I think our players will be suited to life in a higher division. "The talent we have within the squad and the way we can move the ball about, if allowed, will give us a great chance." Curtis has also been pleased with the way pre-season preparations have gone, despite the lack of top quality friendlies. "We've had six good weeks preparing for the season and it has gone really well," he added. "To have everyone fit for the start of the season must be a first. "It's going to make it that much more difficult to pick the team for Saturday, but it's a nice problem to have. "Everyone is raring to go and fighting for their place." Meanwhile, a young Swansea side kept up the winning habit with a 2-0 victory at Tiverton last night.
