When Saturday Comes...

You will have noticed a lack of activity on this site over the past few days. I can give you many excuses, "the dog ate the articles" (bar I don't have a dog!) "I was ill" (bar I wasn't) or even ""I couldn't be bothered" but I could - the simple fact is virtually nothing has happened over the past few days.
Take a look at any of the web-sites over the past few days and there has been nothing happening. The biggest news on the official site in the past week has been Cyril's Christmas party, things are dead on the Message Board here and bar the odd libel threat, even Dai's guestbook has died - see what happens when there are no games to talk about.
But as this week goes on, expect a bit more activity as Mr Lewis down in Exeter prepares to welcome us into his new fold when we travel to St James Park this weekend. This will be one game that it seems will see Swansea fans travelling in their masses and not just because it's so long since we saw Mr Lewis.
But to me it's not important. Verbally show him that we haven't forgotten what he tried to do to our football club but keep it to that - verbals - but most of all what is more important is another three points in the bag to keep us moving away from the foot end of the league table.
Of course, you can guarantee that the newspapers will be speaking to Mike ahead of the game and he will spout the usual crap that he deeply cared for the football club and really he was hard done by - just try your best to let it wash over you and show your support for the team - as a group we operate on a much higher plane than Mike Lewis could ever dream of.
Swansea warm up for the game with a trip to Forest Green Rovers tomorrow - another old face in attendance - Forest Green are managed by Colin Addison before heading down to Devon at the weekend. I expect to see the trial players signing this week to strengthen the squad ahead of the game.
For me, the game is more about three points for the Swans than anything else but a very satisfying smile will come over my face if we have the right result on Saturday - Lewis is owed one by Swansea City - let's just hope that it happens on the pitch in the right manner?
