Here we go.  The first game of the season is nearly upon us.  Big expectations from all supporters up and down the country as usual.  Were going to win the league.  Best side for a long while. Best pre season ever.  The season is ours!

Gary Simpson takes his troops down to Broadhall Way tomorrow afternoon when we visit out old friends and rivals Stevenage FC.  Not Stevenage Borough anymore.  They dropped the Borough at the end of the season.  Just Stevenage.

Simpson has no major injury problems ahead of the game with the likes of Hamza Bencherif pushing for a starting place following his return from a broken ankle last season.

Emile Sinclair will partner new signing Tyrone Barnett in attack after an impressive showing in pre season.  It's the midfield where Simpson is having headaches.  Sam Wedgbury, Lewis Chalmers and Paul Bolland are all fighting for a place in the first XI.

Stevenage are also injury free and will have ex Wycombe player John Mousinho playing in the heart of midfield alongside Michael Bostwick.  Striker Peter Winn has been looking sharp in pre season so the Macc defence had better be on their toes for the 90 minutes.

It's going to be an intriguing game and we are in no doubt that Stevenage will be up for it.  I just hope we put in a great performance and come away with out heads held high with some points on the board.
