Its being reported that La Liga champions Atletico Madrid are keen on signing Manchester City's Spanish striker Alvaro Negredo.
With Atletico's star striker Diego Costa looking likely to leave this summer they are on the look out for a replacement and see Negredo as the ideal replacement. The 28 year old was signed last summer for £16.5 million from Sevilla after scoring 70 goals in 139 appearances.
Its believed that Manuel Pellegrini wants to keep the striker who still has three years to run on his contract. He scored 26 goals in all competitions and made 54 appearances, but he lost his goal scoring touch towards the end of the season. Negredo failed to score in his last 16 appearances last season.
