Stefan Jovetic has spoke of the support he has received at City. After struggling last season through injuries and loss of form he has hit the ground running this term.
There was talk of a return to serie A this summer and Pellegrini admitted there was interest but made he clear that Jovetic would be going nowhere.
He said to the Manchester Evening News: "A lot of teams wanted him this year but we have always said no, he must stay here with our squad.”
Jovetic has welcomed the show of faith and now just wants to focus on his football. "It is most important when the staff, the coach and the president are satisfied with you.
"When they believe in you, it is very important, and my way of saying thank you is to play well.” he said to the Manchester Evening News.
