Luke Williams more than happy with his Swans performance

Swansea City head coach, Luke Williams was as pleased as punch yesterday afternoon after a game which saw his Swans side score three goals. Despite a few deep breaths from errors in the second half, especially from the Swans new keeper, Vigouroux, it was a well deserved victory against, Rio Ave, a top flight Portuguese team

Seeing the game as a good run out for his squad he said, "We got a good glimpse of the level of those players, and I think that was a more realistic test in terms of what we are going to face in the Championship. Sometimes pre-season games can be misleading, but I felt that was a more accurate reflection of where we are.”

The non appearance of Ronald did raise questions, however we did report earlier on last week of him not partaking in this game. His injury is minor by all accounts and he will be available for selection next week for the first fixture of the new season away at Middlesbrough this coming Saturday. (12.30pm) Under the new SKY deal for EFL clubs Swans fans can watch the game LIVE.

Also not seeing action were Joe Allen, Sam Parker and Aimar Govea. The agreement yesterday was multiple substitutions with the Swans having eleven to select from, and Rio Ave twelve. We are hopeful the club will clear up these three omissions this coming week.

How will Man City react to Rodri blow?
Manchester City midfielder Rodri is arguably the best at what he does in world football. Fresh off the back of yet more success with City last season and with Spain at the Euros in the summer, it was expected the Spaniard would be back to lead the charge for Pep Guardiola’s side this term. But his season is already over due to a serious knee injury.
