Town Reportedly Leading Race for Nosworthy Sunday, 5th Jun 2011 21:37 by TWTD.co.uk Town are leading the race to sign Sunderland defender Nyron Nosworthy, according to a report in the North-East. The 30-year-old was linked with the Blues last month and then again earlier this weekend. Nosworthy, who can leave the Stadium of Light on a free transfer despite having another year left on his contract, is believed to have spoken with the Blues, Reading and Crystal Palace. The one-time Gillingham man was previously targeted by Town during his former Sunderland boss Roy Keane’s time at Portman Road and earlier by Joe Royle when he was manager of the Blues.
