Almost £1m Could Go Back To Holland
Almost £1m Could Go Back To Holland

Swansea City have confirmed that there is a 50% sell on clause in Ferrie Bodde's contract

The 50% relates to any profit that they make on the player that arrived from Den Haag last summer and a £2m sale would mean over £950,000 going to the Dutch club.

Derby are reported to be preparing an improved bid for the player but it is going to fall short of the Swans valuation and with the clause in place it seems unlikely that the Swans will budge too much on the figure if at all because of the amount having to go to Holland.

"Obviously we would prefer not to have the sell-on clause in place," said chairman Huw Jenkins. "But you have to remember that we got Ferrie fairly cheaply in the first place.

"It might have been that he'd cost us £1million."

Reading and Sunderland are also reported as being interested in the midfielder which gives hope that the Swans valuation could be met
