Injury Problems For Swans

Tudur Jones To Miss Season Start

Owain Tudur-Jones has been dealt a further injury blow and been ruled out for four months after only returning from injury two months back. Tudur Jones went for a routine exploratory operation but further complications were found which ruled him out until October.

Speaking to the Evening Post, Kenny Jackett bemoaned the siutuation ''Owain went for a routine exploratory operation which would have put him out for one or two weeks. ''But the specialist found things on Owain's patella that he didn't like and he has had to perform micro-surgery, which will keep him out for four months. ''Darren has his operation next week, which will keep him out for three months, so come the start of August neither of those two will be fit. That's a big disappointment for us.''

A further blow was dealt with the news that Darren Way was out for a further three months having had most of his time at Swansea since signing in January blighted by injury.

Jackett will look to strenghten in midfield having also released Roberto Martinez and Adrian Forbes last week leaving his midfield personnel very thin on the ground.
