The hard working striker swapped life at Rochdale for a £300000 move to the City Ground in January 2006 - and wasted little time in making an impact. In fact, it took him just 25 minutes of his debut against Oldham to score his first goal for his new club. However Holt would only score three more times that season.

He launched his career with Halifax and had a spell with Sheffield Wednesday before moving to Spotland in a £10000 deal. He flourished at Rochdale, scoring 43 in 83 games and attracted interest from a number of clubs, including Swansea City. Grant has only scored one goal against Swansea in his career, coming in a 2-2 draw at The Vetch in 2005.
