Stewart Ready For Swans Test

Stewart Ready For Swansea

Yeovil striker Marcus Stewart is ready to face the Swans on the weekend after the heartache of missing out on an appearance against his former side Bristol Rovers.

Stewart broke down in training ahead of last weekend's game between Yeovil and Rovers and was forced to sit out the game which his team mates drew 1-1.

But he will return this weekend when the Swans head to Huish Park looking for their first win, points and goals on the ground.

Stewart told the Western Daily Press "To say I was devastated isn't big enough. I still haven't played against them since I left. "Now my hamstring is good. I am going to train with the lads on Thursday and hopefully I will be available for Saturday. "Last week I tried to train on the Tuesday before the game and I broke down. I think that was just because it was Rovers coming up and I was too eager to come back too quickly. "I went for a scan and I was told I had a grade one tear. I know that takes seven to 10 days. From (last) Tuesday to Thursday is nine days, so I should be OK. "I kept in touch with the score on Saturday and although we let in a late goal - which has been our problem this season - we still got a good point away from home.

"Swansea are up there above us in the table but they are only two points ahead, so we can go above them if we win," said Stewart. "But we don't want to lose and fall five points behind."

Stewart scored in both appearances against the Swans last season.
