No Action Against Toure
Monday, 10th Feb 2014 17:17

The F.A will not be taking any action against Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure after his off the ball clash with Norwich City's Ricky Van Wolfswinkel in Saturdays 0-0 draw.

The incident was reviewed by by a panel of three ex-referees, but they could not agree that Yaya should be banned. Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho called for Toure to be banned saying "If he is not suspended the message is clear - you can do what you want,"

If found guilty Toure was facing a three match ban meaning the midfielder would have missed the upcoming games against Sunderland, Chelsea and Stoke City.

Great to see this reaction from van Wolfswinkel. "Good to see Toure not getting suspended. Players like him belong on the pitch! What happens at Carrow Road stays at Carrow Road. "Things happen on the pitch. But we all enjoy watching him play. So get on with it and enjoy the football. That's what it's all about."
