Former Chelsea midfielder is set to join Manchester City on loan.

Lampard left Chelsea at the end of last season and signed a two year deal with New York City who are owned by City, but The Major League season does not start until March 2015. It looks as if the 36 year old will sign on loan util January and will be registered for both the Premier League and Champions League.

Lampard who represented England in the World Cup is yet to decide his International future, he could end up facing his old club Chelsea when the two clubs meet at Etihad Stadium on 21 September.

Lampard made over 600 appearances for Chelsea in his thirteen years with the club and scored 211 times.
