Aguero Double Saves City From Defeat
Sunday, 9th Nov 2014 17:54

City striker Sergio Aguero once again came to City's rescue to earn a point away at Queens Park Rangers.

There were plenty of incidents during the match with QPR striker Charlie Austin twice having goals ruled out. One was ruled out for off side and the other was because keeper Joe Hart touched the ball twice from a free kick, Hart was the coolest man in the ground as he knew the ball had to leave the area. Austin did finally beat Hart with a low strike to put the Premier League strugglers in front.

It took City just 11 minutes to draw level, Mangala hit a long ball in the direction of Aguero who cleverly created space and fired home. City were struggling with QPR aerial game and had Joe Hart to thank for keeping City level, but on 76 minutes the pressure told when defender Martin Demichelis directed Charlie Austins cross into his own net top put QPR 2-1 up.

It looked as City were going to suffer defeat but with just 7 minutes remaining Aguero drew City level. Yaya Toure found the striker with a long ball, Aguero rounded Rob Green and fired home to rescue a point for City.
