Dzeko Back But Jovetic Out
Friday, 5th Dec 2014 20:02

City will come into this game full of confidence having gained 13 points from a possible 15 in their last five Premier League outings. City lie in second place, six points behind leaders Chelsea. Everton have committed more individual errors leading to goals than than any other team this season. Those errors must cease, especially when a rampant Sergio Aguero spearheads the City attack this Saturday.

Team News

Stevan Jovetic has been ruled out of the clash with Everton after picking up an injury in the win over Sunderland. The loss will be compensated by the return of striker Edin Dzeko from his injury lay-off, while left back Aleks Kolarov is also available again. Skipper Vincent Kompany (hamstring) and David Silva (knee) are both still not ready and both are racing to be fit for the Champions League clash at Roma on Wednesday.

Everton have three major injury concerns as John Stones, Antolin Alcaraz, and Darron Gibson are all not going to take part in the match. James McCarthy and Steven Naismith are also doubts for the game.

Stats

City have kept just one clean sheet in their last 17 Premier League encounters with Everton.

Sergio Aguero scored in both of the league clashes between these two sides last season, having failed to score his previous three games against Everton.

Romelu Lukaku has scored in both of his Premier League appearances for Everton against City.

Five of Lukaku's six Premier League goals this season have come before the 35th minute.

Sergio Aguero (14) has scored more Premier League goals than Sunderland (13), Burnley (ten) and Aston Villa (eight) this season.
