Pellegrini has claimed that we could see Aguero back in action for key fixtures in January. The Argentina international suffered a ligament injury against Everton a fortnight ago.

He pinpointed the clash with Arsenal on January 18th as a possible return.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News he said;"Sergio has a torn ligament and I think it will be long before that tie, probably in the first weeks of January, that he will play,"

Aguero has netted 19 goals in all competitions so far this season.
