Manchester City have today completed the signing of Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony.

The 26 year old joins City in a deal worth £28 million and has signed a four and half year contract. City will pay £25 million up front with a further £3 million in performance-related add-ons. Bony was top goalscorer last season in the Premier League with 20 goals.

Since signing for Swansea in the summer of 2013 from Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem he has started 56 games games and has scored 34 times, he has made a further 14 appearances from the bench. Bony is currently on International duty in the Africa Cup of Nations with the Ivory Coast, meaning he may have to wait until mid February to make his City debut.

Bony will wear the number 14 shirt.
