We wasted some shots that could of made a difference,AA needs to find his shooting boots, can’t complain about the work rate though. The usual mistakes killed us again why we never learn baffles me why we can’t sort it out.
Certainly did not understand the starting lineup but they worked there socks of,Forster needs to learn how to distribute the ball better as he puts everyone under pressure.

Once again Salisu made a complete f**ck up. By giving away a penalty when we were more or less holding our own directly led to the flood gates opening. When will people realise that his good play is far far exceeded by his cock ups. HE IS A LIABILITY AND FAR TOO RISKY FOR THIS TEAM. HE MUST BE BENCHED AND PDQ

There is a reason City are top of the league and we are mid table and whilst there is no disgrace in losing to one of the best teams on the planet and we have them a game, you can’t gift quality teams goals and expect to win. Stephen’s had his usual brain fart and goodness knows what Salisu thought he was doing with the penalty. We had some good chances but didn’t take them and minutes later paid the price the other end. All we can ask is that the team give their all and they did that today. To beat teams like City you have to rely on them missing their chances and put yours away when they come. That didn’t happen today but at least we looked like the team from earlier this year again rather than the one that lost the previous three league games on the trot. With the right changes in the summer we can look forward to a greater level of consistency.

i_would did you actually watch the game, please go and support someone else, your comments are always so biased against JWP and negative against the team. We played against world class players and JWP played well.

Put your manky little weener away I_would. Concentrate on your own shower of sh*t. Another year in League 1 for your lot. And that'll be the Prowsey that's just been picked for the England squad, you absolute boring, same old drivel, plank.

I thought we did well but Salisu's unecessary challenge turned the game. Man City turned it up a notch and we couldn't live with them.

Competed all over the pitch for 60 minutes but City could have scored more in the end. Have it a good go but individual errors cost us.

I guess Ralph wanted 2 sets of strikers, one for each half to run their socks off and press M City all over the pitch and try to stop them building from the back. This worked pretty well in the first half.

Good even game for 2/3 of it and then Salisu gave away a soft penalty and our heads went down and everything fell apart.

Had our chances - one off the post, a few close ones and the usual succession of weak shots. Gave away a soft goal in be the first half but got a break with an own goal from Ely not giving up right at the death of the first half.

Got 2/3 of the performance that we needed. But just couldn't finish it off.

Time to concentrate on the league.

Saints held the Saudi billionaire picked world X1 for 70minutes but after this, when a team can bring on two world class players as subs, what do you expect? They both scored world class goals. Good games from KWP, JWP and Tino Livramento. Not sure why Stephens played instead of our usual first choice Bednarek and why both Long and A Armstrong played up front. I think both Bednarek and Adams would have been better choices but - considering the opposition - we're probably splitting hairs. Saints gave the Saudi World X1 an easy two goals: Stephens made an awful gaff of a clearance, Salisu thoughtlessly stuck out his arms and hands barely touching Jesus who produced an Oscar winning dive that nobody was going to question - of course. And that's the game 4-1. However, we possibly needed that game to regain some league form although we have to wait two weeks, during the International break to face a battling Leeds team at Elland Road.
