Yes Pelle seems to have a lot to improve on at this level but the loud ironic cheers from the muppets in the ground when he finally managed a header are really going to help his confidence

The Swans had a really strong first half, a lot of good passing and relay from the back. The pressure going forward seemed a little off. Loads of good chances that seemed a bit sloppy at execution. The nice breaking stride with a superb cross from Gylfi gave dyer the much needed break through so it wasn't all for not. Burnley just sat back and waited for counter attacking which didn't do well against our fierce line.

The second half was a different story. Swans went down to first gear and let Burnley take possession way to easily. The swansea mid field seemed to break until the very end, with Burnley taking a great hold of the chance. Fabiansky did well to craddle the blows and the superb partnership between Williams and Taylor did well to keep us a clean sheet.

very poor after the second half at Liverpool promised much more. Bertrand is no Shaw, Tadic no Lallana and Pelle certainly no Lambert. Schneiderlin and Wanyama and Ward-Prowse the only reminders of what we saw last year. Little pressing, little balance and little idea as to how to break down a 4-4-1-1 which all but the top teams will probably employ against us at SMS. At least we have a first class goalkeeper and it looks like we will need him. 10 days to strengthen otherwise it looks like it will be a very long season.

Yawn . Hopefully Sam Gallagher will be fit and ready soon to show Pelle how to compete . On the up side some good performances and although Maya gets a lot of stick he had a vastly improved performance imo.got stuck in followed fonte s lead and did most of the simple things right .

They can't all be classics. Early days; plenty of time to get the blend right.

Saints had nothing in the final third of the pitch and although WBA were well marshalled they were never in any real danger. Saints's 21 million attacking duo looked like they should be playing on a local park somewhere near you on Sunday

Much like the past couple of years: playing to level of the opposition. Pelle needs to learn he's not going to have much time to move the ball. Forster really good-calm, grabs the ball and holds on rather than just knocking it down, puts his foot through it when needed.

Boring game and the right result although rather disappointedly I would give WBA extra points for effort even though they came for a draw.

WBA are becoming like a lot of other sides in the Premiership who not only dive or die like the sniper bullet has hit them (when the offensive play is against them) but are also wasting time at every free kick, goal kick and throw in; it's getting very boring even if it might be a highlight in the european leagues.

Ref very pernickety and if he had exercised control from the off, the game might have been more fluent.

From the back, Forster very strong and confident and good for defence.

Yoshida, a liability. Get a replacement.

Bertrand is good and Clyne is better but please both, try and get past the last marker.

Fonte solid, and Yoshida not so solid; the latter tries hard and heads everything but more marks given for effort rather than PL skill.

Morgan, Davis and Wana doing their bit but got bullied off the ball like everyone else.

WBA know their place and know where they stand; they're physical and apart from endless time-wasting' they dived at every opportunity a La Liga or Serie; it got extremely boring......but a point is a point.

Pelle up front was a waste of time (and hopefully not not money because he can improve.....hopefully!!!) Dawson (WBA) took him out as did every other WBA player even though Pelle has about four to six inches advantage on everyone. For the few headers he did win, the direction was aimless.

And moving on, Long did not know his rightful place when he came on.

Tadic tried hard but to no effect.

Seems to me that a load of our new signings have no idea of the physicality of the PL.

They are going to have big up because lots of our new continental breakfast lads were mugged and bullied by (dis)honest pros from WBA who have been around the blocks with ASBOs attached (to ankle in sock).

JWP for me was excellent again.

Not sure about spiderman; jury still out.

Saints were passing a lot but many passes short and many hospital passes; also a lot of passes going amiss.

And while I can criticise the players, the home crowd were't so great either; the stadium today was as quiet as the library Saints were accusing LFC of having.

And finally, and this really annoys me to say this, WBA won todays bore draw for playing for the shirt.

I never mind about the end result but only if the side I support tries their hardest.

I didn't get that today and it was worse from one players than other.

WBA wanted the game; I didn't get the feeling that Saints did.

And if this continues, it won't matter what the fans, the Liebers, and Koemann want; it will be back to square one.

But hey ho, I've been around for forty years and the roller-coaster has never been any different.

It would help if I knew what RK wanted to do.

Before committing suicide I will wait until Christmas.

COTRs!!!

Why do we tend to put ourselves under so much pressure in second halves at home? Crystal Palace and WBA last season and now Burnley. We sit so deep and seem to want to let the opposition run at us and our passing skills go out of the window. The subs made no difference at all. Didn`t really test Heaton at all in the final 45 minutes. Still, we won, and we did provide an excellent first half of football. But that was an awkward and bum-clenching second half to sit through.
