Can’t help but feel that was two points lost, despite 'man of match' Nico's excellent rescue free kick. Really needed a win from this one.

What is really worrying :

Rio’s defending - looks off the pace, doesn’t tackle or track his man properly, doesn’t get up and win enough headers. It’s a continuing trend and he is becoming a liability. What has The Chief got to do to get a game?
Isla - gave the ball away far too much and in critical areas.
Austin - looking out of his depth in this league.
A lack of clear opportunities created (again) plus woeful shooting - dreadful all round (apart from one man).
2 hamstring injuries for players already carrying strains. Why were they risked & what’s going on with the fitness/conditioning at QPR?

What was encouraging :

Nico Kranjcar - outstanding.
And Fer - to an extent.

What was well out of order :

At least 3 definite penalties denied with Shawcross blatantly all over Caulker in the box.
A clear & obvious foul by Crouch for the first goal.
A USELESS, weak referee who refused to deal with any of above.

TF - better pay that fine soon.

Ferdinand was well poor and contributed to both their goals. He is well past his sell by date

Austin as Recoil says, seems out of his depth.

Nico was the star by far.

Shawcross created foul after blatant foil but got away with murder.

Overall. Lucky to get a point.

Continue like this and we will be back in Championship before we know it

Couldn't get there today but have just spoken to a mate on the phone who said it was back to the wall stuff especially when they added on the 6 minutes. Said the keeper was exceptional and the who back four played well but said we lacked any sort of quality or movement in midfield and looked content to defend for much of the game. I suppose it's what you want at the moment away from home just to build confidence and get some points on the board.

Wow, talk about a game of 2 halves..! Swansea dominated possession in the first half and had 2 great chances. One off the bar and one off the line. Well done Plastic ! Would have been happy to escape with a point at that stage.

Sending off changed the game completely. 2nd half, naturally we dominated possession. Got a bit worried when we seemed to be too reliant on the crosses into the box. Goal came with a nice bit of interplay down the right. Good finish from Wanyama (strong toe poke..!) A bonus 3 points after a tough first 40 minutes.

Thank goodness Levy & Rodgers took the deadwood out for us in the summer :)

Roll on Arse nal.

Saints played the first half like a team which didn't know each other. Misplaced passes, poor first touches, no assuredness, lack of telling crosses. I felt sure we'd go in at the break one or two down. Then Bony got sent off. Fonte was lucky not to follow, although his second bookable offence was in the opponents penalty area. Second half all changed. We dominated. Swansea flickered but then surprisingly took Dyer off. Then their flame went out but we still weren't our ususl swaggering selves. Tajic tried to set Pelle up on a couple of occasions but the big man's control was poor. The JWP got injured and Wanyama came on. He immediately imposed himself on the game. He made the difference. Have to say Gardos looked very composed. We'll have easier games.

Although I agree with the other comments, my major concern today was that in the first half we were to slow in our play and easily picked off by Stoke.

Job done! No-one has mentioned the assured performance of Florin Gardos. He looked completely in control of his game and his position
