Great understanding between Obafemi and Redmond for a great matchwinner.
2 clean sheets in a row now.
With just a little bit of luck Danny could have had a hattrick and even Long should have had a sitter.
We were aggressive and bombarded their goal in the second half with lots of shots.. Very satisfactory.
McCarthy had a great safe in the first half. I have no trouble with him deputising for Gunn in any match :)
Up the Saints. What is it - 3-4 points to a top 6 place? COYS.

Prowsey played his usual game. He is reliable.

Great 1st 10, very poor rest of 1st half, great battling, tenacious 2nd half.
Not a lot more to say other Højbjerg still looks off the pace & JWP has still not turned up this season.......

He's like a baby undroppable.

Where were our two main strikers? Is Ings supposed to link up play between the midfield and the front - he certainly doesn't. Adams was never in the game - he doesn't work hard enough for me. JWP is consistently responsible for slowing up our forward movement or, indeed, stopping it altogether. Hail Oriol Romeu and Angus Gunn, both superb. And a word, too for a reinvigorated Boufal (why was he taken off instead of JWP?) and a clap on the back for Vestergaard who made several key interceptions. The usual imbalanced performance from referee Mike Dean but, I have to agree that Danso had to walk. Kevin is likely to spend a lot of this season suspended unless his brain clicks into gear. A brilliant result all in al however, United were beatable today and with eleven men we might have succeeded.

PEH was so bad today he made Pogba look like a world beater. But for some reason he appears above critasism, if JWP played like that people would explode with rage. Congratulations to Vestagaard, he deserved that goal for an all round performance.

Overall, a good team performance. United looked disorganised and shambolic at times and until Danso was sent off I thought we looked the more likely winners.

That was easily the best Vestergaard has played for us. I'd never rated him until today but a back 4 seems to suit him. Kevin Danso was very good. Pity about the red card.

As has been mentioned, our only real weak link was Ward-Prowse. The game just seemed to pass him by. I don't agree with the criticism of Hojbjerg. He had twice as many touches and tackles as Ward-Prowse, for whom he was trying to cover a lot of the time. I definitely would not play Ward-Prowse v Pompey. Hopefully, we'll have Djenepo back by then.

Agree with halftime orange. What might have been with 11 men. Utd are not getting any better. Not sure about Adams but early days. He keeps up with game and hopefully sharpen up. Sadly I am not sure what Armstrong brings. Had high hopes for him but he struggles to keep up and loses the ball. Long still useful.Boufal so skillful at times. I would normally try and defend JWP but too slow and sideways today. A point is good with 10 men.

The BBC report mentions Wendy's had only lost twice in their last 16 home games. Make that 3 in 17 and we managed it twice in 3 months !!!
