Be careful talking in any negative way about the boy as he has a very large extended family, from the Portsmouth area (skates), and they all seem to frequent this site.

Gutted to have come away with a point can’t believe Djenepo missed after Boufal’s amazing run. Plenty of positives to be taken though much improved effort, created numerous good chances, thought Stephens, Bednarek Armstrong, McCarthy, Ings and when Boufal was on all had good games. Hojbjerg and Soares and to a lesser degree JWP were liabilities. Play like that in our next few games and we may have a chance, only draw back will be playing at home with our ultra negative home support. If only we could back the team like we do away🙏😇

Gutted that we didn´t win but overall very satisfied with the shift we put in.

Is it really too much to expect experienced defenders to communicate with each other and deal with routine corners? Obviously it is, but what are the coaching staff doing? Four penalties and three reds (I think) so far this season is exceptional. And from where I sat it looked a nailed on red.

I know we had a good spell with 10 men - better than the first half with 11, and better balanced with 4 in defence and 4 in midfield until we imploded - but if we hadn't already given away a goal and a red card we wouldn't have had to chase the game and leave so many gaps.

If your looking for any positives other than we won there was not much to get excited about, we were dire until we equlised. We looked awful with JWP doing his usual sideways and backward passes and Redmond passing to everyone except our team.Still we won even though it looked very unlikely as we were so disjointed for so long, and when Stephens gifted the first goal to Watford l thought here we go again but we pulled this one out some how.
Going to have to play a lot better against Norwich if we want 3 points again, just wish we could be more consistent but this is our Saints never a dull moment or maybe that's not the right saying.

Cedric was so poor and should not have been in the starting eleven. This was such a disappointing first half, very nervous touches and easily robbed of the ball. We were deservedly one down at half time and looked so poor in midfield. JWP got the bird from the crowd for his negative play but actually most of the team were more happy to go back than forwards. We actually looked like we were going to give a goal away whilst retreating.
Subs were desperately needed. Valery tho' far from perfect is streets ahead of Cedric and we not only looked better in defence we also had him to assist in attacks. Boufal may be a good sub player but we do need him on the pitch earlier, he makes things happen. How did Long not score?
JWP is an enigma, for most of the game he made me angry with his non-productive performance and I wanted him subbed, however, he scored a wonderful winning goal and it's goals that win matches. I guess he will be on the team sheet for the next match.
Please pinch me, did we really get three points with a home win?

If I was manager I would have taken Prowse off at half time as his was shite. All he done all game was score from a free kick.

Cedric, as people have already said was deadfull. but so were most of the rest. I thought Stephens and PEH were equally as poor. Maybe our captain could be employed as a cheer leader as it appears the only job he is cabable of? At least we won. and if we can do it again on wednesday then we will not be adrift and can look forwards with more hope.

Usual. We start off well. Concede at the first half decent chance. Fall apart. Come back together. Huff and puff and squander chances galore. Play well in the second half but get nothing......but crucially THIS time we pulled through. Hopefully we can stumble through the next few games in a similar style and get a few more wins. COYS!
