Don't know why you are specially talking about the RB and LB, because the things you are writing should be said about every position. Football is teamwork and you win and lose as a team! |

Saintnick, always curious after your articles and i like reading them because you always have an opinion and that is good. Also wonder why your opinion is staying the same always. Also this time you only blame the defence ("another case of Saints throwing away points on the road due to slack defending") while you are also writing about good ballpossession, lot of chances etc. etc. Perhaps just once make a conclusion that our forwards sometimes need too much chances to make a goal....
Saw the highlights and i don't know which defender you want to blame for the goal (looking at the photo just under that sentence it could be Hooiveld again..?) but just did not see anybody making any fault. Derby only was lucky for four situations after each other. Perhaps just bad luck is part of playing football also? Agree that a team has to try to stop "bad luck". I am sure these times will come. |

The reason that you pay a million for a central defender is that he makes less mistakes than one on a free transfer and conversely slightly more than a 2 million pound player, thats reality and our failure to sign a quality partner for Fonte is now starting to cost us, Hooiveld isnt bad, but he isnt as good as we need.
I have seen defenders making mistakes even when there was payed several millions for him. You cannot judge this guy for his wrong pass yesterday. I have listened to the radio and the reporters where very enthousiastic about Jos his play. That is what i heard, did not see it by myself.
