Flynn denies Pennock link Swansea City manager Brian Flynn has denied reports that he is on the verge of signing Farnborough Town keeper Tony Pennock.
The Swans boss is keen to sign a replacement keeper for injured regular Roger Freestone but, despite reports to the contrary, Flynn is adamant that he is not about to sign Pennock.
"I've spoken to Farnborough about the possibility of us signing Tony, the same as I've spoken to numerous clubs over the last ten days," Flynn told the club's official website.
"There was never a possibility of us completing a permanent deal but we did enquire about taking him on loan, something that they wouldn't agree to.
"I think the fact that he has started training with us on Monday has clouded the issue a little. That's just a case of us helping him out as the situation at Farnborough is a little unclear at present." |
