Middlesbrough preview: Sheffield Wednesday
Tuesday, 29th Dec 2020 12:22 by Phil Spencer

Middlesbrough get their belated festive period underway as they travel to face Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night.

While Boxing Day saw a near-full schedule in the EFL the Teessiders enjoyed a welcome day off after their clash with Rotherham United was called off.

A trip to Hillsborough promised to tee up a reunion with former boss Tony Pulis, however that was ruined by an eleventh-hour sacking by the Owls on Monday night.

That might have ruined the inevitable media narrative surrounding the fixture, but either way, there's still a big three points to play for.

Here's our Bonkers For Boro preview ahead of the trip to South Yorkshire.
