Played poorly in the first half - as we have in recent games, but a great delivery and towering header rescued the half for us on the stroke of HT. The introduction of Ings seemed to inspire a decent 2nd half performance and despite going close with efforts from Walcott and Redmond, the ultimate winner came from the spot, with Ings sending the keeper the wrong way.
We then saw the game out this time with relative ease, despite a few jitters and one headed chance.
A great win that moved us back up to 5th, gained us our 1,000th Prem Point and set us up nicely for the next game on Sunday.

Half way to safety Or a third of the way to Top 6-8 ? I think with this squad and Manager, it is definitely the latter, as we have shown since lockdown / restart.

Not the best game, but good tense watching and we came back from a losing position for the 2nd time this season after dropping points whjen ahead in the last 2. The defences/midfield blockers beat the attacks and the big Dane was immense. He could not have done anything else. Romeu and JWP had good games, but so did Bissouma and Gross. Hence the cancel out.

Djenpo tried things but so often ran into dead ends, or got to by-line when there was no one to pull back for. Walker Peters was good going forward, but he always seem to be the one who gets caught when the other team press. Something Ralph needs to sort out.

Theo (and Redmond) need to take a leaf from Ings and aim inside the post. Every shot seems to be a foot wide! If Redmond had been able to control his finish that would have been one of the goals of the season. Sheffield United next.....
