Bellamy's Arrest
Bellamy's Arrest
Friday, 14th Jan 2011 10:22

Old news now, about Craig Bellamy's latest brush with the law, and the fact that he has been released on bail.

The thing that does bother has been the reports about Bellamy being available to play against Norwich City tomorrow.

There is no doubt about it, Bellers is known to be one that shoots from the hip. Different footbll club managers have said that a volatile personality is the making of a good striker.

Even while at Norwich, Bellers was notorious for being lippy, and the story of his sojourn in the team coach toilet is told as frequently as his pitch exploits.

There is absolutely no question about it, under Common and Civil Law there is the Presumption of Innocence, or more often called Innocent until Proven Guilty.

Nobody is party to the events that occured in "Chip Alley" in Cardiff that early morning. Most probably it was a couple of wind-up merchants who thought they could deck Bellamy but the pair of them were beaten up by Bellers and chose to make a complaint.

Not for one moment suggesting that is the truth of the matter. However, until a court of law hears evidence beyond a reasonable doubt that Bellamy was at fault he must be allowed to carry on his everyday way of life.

And that includes playing against us tomorrow.
