The seaon is hotting up and Norwich City are looking pretty having occupied a top six place now for 25 of the last 30 games. The "P" word is never heard from the coaching staff, but the best ever first deadline renewal of season tickets for next term would suggest that over 20,000 supporters are picturing life in the fast lane next August.

It is the away record that has the Canaries flying high, having lost just three games with 8 wins and 7 draws. If only the home record would compare as one would expect at Fortress Carra.

Even so, it isn't as bad as all that, with 9 wins, 5 draws and 4 defeats. If you were to look at who the opposition was for the defeats and draws nobody would accuse you of wondering why those games were not in the "wins" locker.

It was good to see Wes Hoolahan put that penalty miss behind him. Even Sven Goran Eriksson conceded that the headed goal came from the shortest man on the pitch. Another "Pocket Rocket"; coincidentally, another Irishman.

Grant Holt elevated himself to penalty taker and powered his shot as opposed to trying to out-fox the Foxes keeper, no pun intended. And it is great to see Albie Wilbraham break his duck. As a striker he must be relieved to have his name on the score sheet at last, but he has certainly done a fantastic job in harrying defences when he is on the pitch.

Once more, a travelling army of over 2,000 were treated to an entertaining game. Once more I stick my neck out and say that the team needs to offer the same rewards to the home supporters.

They get the chance to do that, and show the rest of the country just why we are pushing for back to back promotions on Monday night as the game against bristol City is beamed across the airwaves courtesy of Sky Sports.
