New Club Shop Opening On Monday

Swansea City will have a new club shop from Monday when the new outlet opens in the Quadrant Shopping Centre above the Travel House outlet.

The shop will be open from Monday to Saturday 9am-5pm and on Sundays from 11am to 3pm in the run up to Christmas. The move of the shop into the city centre means that the existing shop will now be used for ticket sales only and will be open from 10am to 2pm although the credit card line will be open until 4.30pm. The only time merchandise will be available in the shop will be on Saturdays to 12pm (3pm on matchdays) and on midweek fixture nights from 6pm to 8pm.

The new shop is claimed to have a wider range of merchandise and 'designed to provide a modern shopping experience'

Speaking about the opening of the new club shop, vice chairman Leigh Dineen said "It is vital that with the opening of the Stadium that we are seen to be moving forward on the commercial front. A store in the centre of the City is vital for our supporters and gives them easy access to all Swans merchandise.

"This store will give us the scope to offer a much wider range of items to a much wider audience. In the near future we hope to be able to bring clothing lines with special branding and themes that will be aimed at everyone and not just our supporters.

"The locality of the shop was of paramount importance considering our imminent move to the new stadium and I am happy that at long last we will have a shop that will do the club justice"

Commercial manager Lesa Hitchings added "We always try to put our fans first and thought it was about time we opened a new club shop, with our move to the new stadium, it was essential that we had to move in the right direction of showing that we are bringing a new era to local football and to provide a much valued service to the community

"I am confident local shoppers will be delighted with our improved store and wider choice of goods"

The club is at pains to also add that when the move to the new stadium is complete it will also contain a 'state of the art' club shop and ticket office.

Members of the playing squad will be available in the new shop next Monday (1st November) to sign merchandise between 1 and 3pm.

The number of the ticket office for anyone wishing to purchase tickets by credit card is 01792 633425.
