The Swans are preparing to welcome Bolton Wanderers to the Liberty Stadium tomorrow to defend their unbeaten home record and their unbreached home defence.

Wigan, Sunderland, West Brom and Stoke have all arrived at the Liberty this season and failed to score against the Swans who have taken 8 points from the 12 available on their home patch - compared to 1 from 15 on their travels.

That record leaves the Swans reasonably comfortable three points ahead of the drop zone with weekend opponents Bolton occupying one of those places so it is important for the Swans to get at least something out of the game to maintain that gap over their visitors.

Rodgers said: “I’ve been proud of our home record ever since I have been here.

“I’ve always said I want to make it the longest 90 minutes of the opposition’s lives.

“Goals and goal difference is important.

“The players are very aware that if we are in and around a scrap at the end of the season then it could come down to goal difference.

“Our record at home is fantastic, but it is more important that we win games because that’s the business we are in.

“The Wolves supporters showed last weekend that they thought we were just a Championship team who have come up and they should beat us five or six nil.

“They didn’t know we are actually a good side and we will prove that this season.

“Where it takes us remains to be seen.

“We have the belief that we can do more than just feature around the bottom end and it’s the belief we have to have.

“We will do our talking on the field and hopefully come the end of the season that will show through.”
