Ball Number 15 For Swans In Cup Draw

The Swans are ball number 15 in the FA Cup draw that will take place at Wembley Stadium this afternoon following the tie between Stoke City and Chelsea.

There is very much a sense of anticipation about the draw with Charlton, Brighton, Sheffield Wednesday and Wigan all definitely representing the Sky Bet Football League together with the winners of Nottingham Forest and Preston who drew 0-0 on Friday evening. Sheffield United could add to that list if they upset Fulham this afternoon and I am sure that many Swans fans would want a football league team at home to maximise their chances of progression.

On the flip side, Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool and Everton all represent the top end of the Premier League and should be joined by Chelsea prior to the draw with Southampton also representing the top half of the table too in the last 16 of the competition.

Of course for us as well there is also the small matter that Cardiff City are also in the hat for the 5th Round after their win at Bolton yesterday opening the possibility of South Wales derbies on successive weekends in February which will please those law officers with an eye on the overtime payments.

Also still in the hat are Sunderland who have already progressed to the final of the Capital One Cup and will be eyeing up a double Wembley trip this season.

Tottenham and England winger Andros Townsend will make the draw with his father Troy this afternoon and you can keep an eye on the draw live on ITV.
