QPR deny possible points deduction or relegation over Blitz loan according to the Kilburn Times.

Kilburn Times - Ben Kosky

The Sunday Mirror reported this week that QPR's £500k cheque repaying the money leant to them by Simon Blitz had bounced. Blitz controversially leant Rangers the money at the end of last season secured against winger Lee Cook but QPR said they would pay it back "forthwith" when the league threatened an investigation.

It is against league rules for clubs to become linked and people to hold interests in more than one side. Blitz, the chairman of Oldham Athletic, stressed the loan was a personal one and had nothing to do with the Lancashire outfit.

The Mirror reported that now QPR have failed to make the repayments an investigation will be launched with a possible points deduction the result. However a 'Loftus Road insider' told the Kilburn Times this week: "We were surprised by the story. We haven't been asked to attend the Football League meeting or told there is anything we need to reply to.

"The loan will be repaid in full. The club has contacted both the FA and Football League and they have confirmed they are not taking any action."

Football League spokesman Jon Nagle stated: "To our knowledge, at this point in time, the monies have not been paid. The matter will be discussed by the League board at their monthly meeting on Thursday."
