Pompey have been praised by fans for cutting admission prices for the FA Cup first round clash with Macclesfield.

The Blues have announced they will cost just £12 for adults, £8 for seniors (61+), young people (17-22) and special concessions and £4 for juniors (under 17). They go on sale to season ticket holders and shareholders from 10am on Thursday, October 29.

On Friday, October 30, they will then be released for general sale (online only over the weekend).

Chief executive Mark Catlin told the club website: 'We would like to thank Macclesfield and their chairman Mark Blower for their co-operation in setting these reduced prices. We hope that as many fans as possible will turn up to the tie and create another fantastic Fratton Park cup atmosphere.'

Meanwhile loan striker Caolan Lavery has revealed where Paul Cook will be focusing in training this week - and the truth is not surprising after another 0-0 draw.

He told The News: ‘The gaffer told us we will be working on our play in the final third this week. As a striker, it’s where you make your money so I’m looking forward to a good week of training. There are a few things to work on to give us a bit more edge in the final third.’

Pompey head to Notts County on Saturday.
