Stolen Items Returned To The Vetch
Vetch Memorabilia Returned |
Staff at the Vetch this afternoon were slightly surprised to see someone coming into the ground and returning all the items stolen in the break in at the ground on Saturday night. Not content with just returning the goods themselves there was also the present of some money to pay for the damage caused during the break in to go with the irreplaceable items which included signed shirts from both the Autoglass and 3rd division winning teams. It does appear that the club's appeal to fans better nature has been heeded and no doubt there was possibly a clip round the ear from Mummy and a frogmarch to the Vetch or just one person decided that pieces of the club's history could not be taken like that and the public appeal had indeed rendered the goods pretty much useless in terms of value within the city. Outside of that though you have to say a well done to the person that produced these goods back to the club even if they shouldn't have taken them in the first place. Nice to see that sometimes there is a happy ending. What to read next:Lincoln City 0 - 2 Portsmouth - Player Ratings and Reports
