Adam King has joined Crewe on loan until January as the Swans want him to experience first team football.
The 19-year old Scotland Youth International has also represented his country at Under-21 level and is highly regarded at the Swans.
Crewe are being linked with plenty of Swansea connections this summer with Alan Tate and David Cornell both reported to be joining them following their release from the Swans at the end of last season
Speaking on completing the loan, King told the official Crewe website "It was a perfect opportunity for me and once I heard of Crewe’s interest then I jumped at the chance. I want to come here and do my best for the team.
"It will be a great experience for me and I can’t wait to get into the training and play some pre-season games. It is a massive step from development football but one I am really looking forward to and I just want to get started.
"I have only heard good things about Crewe, the people who work here, the fans and how they give young players a chance.
"I am here to work hard and try to get into the team. My main objective is to play is to get games under my belt and help the team be where they want to be. I am ready for the challenge and competing for a place is part of the game.”
