One of Tuesday night's Pompey goal heroes is backing another to keep on scoring.
Ben Davies, whose strike opened the floodgates against York, said Marc McNulty, who netted three, was a proven quality goalscorer who you could rely on to put away chances.
The pair have played together at Sheffield United and Davies told the Pompey website: 'I’ve worked him in the past and know that if you give him chances then he’ll score goals.
'We’ve seen that first hand and that’s why we’re so delighted that we’ve got him here at Pompey. He got his three goals after scoring at Carlisle on Saturday and hopefully he’ll go on to get a few more.'
Davies felt Pompey were good value for the 6-0 win and dedicated the victory to the fans.
He added: 'We played really well and we could easily have been two or three goals up by half-time. It was a bad challenge for the red card and really dangerous, but I thought we would have won the game anyway.
'The lads came out after the break and carried on where they left off to get the victory we wanted. We’ve been dying to come here and put on a show like that. We’ve not had a lot of luck in the past, but the first goal opened things up.
'It was nice to give the fans a decent performance and a few goals because that’s what they deserve for their fantastic support.'
