Pompey head to Bradford being told: We need to hit target more often

Pompey must get more of their goal attempts on target.

So says Kenny Jackett as he plots to turn recent draws into a victory when the leaders vidit the basement boys.

Bradford v Pompey is bottom versus top but Jackett warms that the Blues will be up againat a side keen to turn their bad run of results around.

The managet told the club website: 'My focus isn’t really on Bradford, although obviously we’ve analysed them to learn their strengths and weaknesses.

'They have good players and will be doing everything they can to turn their run around, but we also want to keep improving. We had a great start to last week’s game at Accrington, dominating the play and creating a lot of chances.

'But we need to hit the target more when we have those strong spells and make the most of our opportunities.'

Pompey welcome Tom Naylor back into the squad after a one-match ban, although Nathan Thompson is now banned - like Naylor, that's for picking up five bookings.

Bradford can climb off the bottom with a win, while Pompey have Peterborough and Sunderland breathing down their necks at the top.

Jackett's team have won six and drawn two of their eight away games so far.
