St Mary's To Double In Capacity For 2025/26 Season

CEO Phil Parsons is expected to announce exciting plans at 11.55am to make sure that even more customers, sorry supporters can attend matches from next season, when over 60,000 Saints fans will be able to see each game.

The plan is so simple it is amazing that not a single club in the World has thought of this before and Sport Republic and indeed Phil Parsons and his board will be hailed as revolutionaries and dare I say it football genius's for this innovation.

As mentioned 60,000 will be able to attend each game at St Mary's next season, therefore doubling the club's income and enabling it to storm to promotion and then take it's rightful place in what will then become a "Big 8" in the Premier League.

So how are they going to do this ?

Easy, starting next season there will be half season tickets, in the past this has been where supporters can buy a season ticket at the half way point of the season, but this is different it is ground breaking.

The Southampton half season ticket will not be half a season, but half a game, potentially doubling St Mary's capacity overnight, the plan is simple but effective.

Those with season tickets for the first half of the game will be able to have a drink in the fan zones outside the ground and if they are above minimum wage, purchase a food item as well.

When they enter the ground for kick off, those with season tickets for the second half of the game will be able to enter the fan zones and enjoy watching the first half on the big screens, whilst eating and drinking.

At the half time whistle, the 1st half season ticket holders will leave the ground to be replaced by the 2nd half season tickets holders, of course those having just left the ground will watch the game etc in the fanzones.

At a stroke we have doubled the capacity of St Mary's and also doubled the earnings potential for food and drink.

Half and half scarves will take on a new meaning, one half saying Southampton FC and the other half saying 1st Half only.

This is truly revolutionary and we should applaud our football club for it's forward thinking.
