Pompey on PowerPoint - the combination luring top talent to Fratton

A PowerPoint presentation helped convince Minhyeok Yang that a Pompey loan would be a good move for him.

The South Korean winger has joined the Blues on a season-long loan switch from Spurs and is the latest recruit to speak of how impressed he was when he met John Mousinho.

In an interview with the club media, he said: 'I’m very happy to have joined a side like Pompey – my former team Gangwon was also by the sea. It is good because there are a lot of similarities and that makes me believe I can do really well at this club.

'I had a meeting with the manager and felt that he – and everyone here – specifically wanted me, so that’s why I chose to come here. He watched me when I was playing for Queens Park Rangers last season and remembered the skills I had.

'Then when we spoke, he had done a PowerPoint presentation about me and talked in a detailed way about how I would be used in the team. I chose to join Pompey after hearing the enthusiasm he had for me and am very happy to have this new start.

'Now I want to help the team to have a successful season, while on a personal level, I want to play games and score goals.'

Minhyeok has made one start and one appearance off the bench so far but with Callum Lang set to be ruled out for a short while with a hamstring injury, he could be pushing for a start at West Brom.
